Meet The Teachers! - Part 2

We’re continuing our Meet the Teacher series! This is were we’ll be introducing the new teachers joining the EPIC Dance Center family and giving you a chance to get to know the people behind the classes.

Meet Miss Isabel!

Where did you dance and for how long?

I danced at Eugenia’s Dance Studio for 15 years

What is your favorite style/what styles do you have experience in?

My favorite styles of dance are lyrical, contemporary and jazz. However I have experience in lyrical, jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap, hip hop and acro

What are you most excited about bringing to your classroom?

This year I am most excited to get to know my dancers and create fun memories in class and on stage

What advice would you give a dancer who is nervous or is struggling with something new?

The best dance advice I can give is to keep trying. There is never a bad time to learn a new skill and just remember, that everyone started out in the same spot so there’s never any shame in not knowing, there’s only growing.

What are some of your goals for dancers this season?

A big goal of mine this year is for my dancers to feel more comfortable in their self expression and confident in their talent.

What's your favorite type of costume?

My favorite type of costume is a dress or flowy pant.

What do you like about the dance community in WNY area?

I love the dance community in the WNY area because everyone gets to know each other. When you go to conventions or competitions everyone is cheering each other on and you can make the best of friends.

What's a song you have on repeat right now?

A song I have on repeat right now is Orbiter by Noah Kahan, or any song by Noah Kahan really
